Coming in to Bergen reminded us of our Celebrity cruise in 2012. It’s a really pretty journey in. It’s cloudy and grey and the forecast is for sunny intervals and 15 degrees. As we’re on a line with the Shetlands, it’s what we might expect!
A Costa ship followed us in and the arrival route is full of unforgiving-looking rocky outcrops close by the ship so I was anxious, but I think it arrived OK.
There was also a German cruise ship - Aida - in port in Bergen, so lots of Germans, French and Brits were all over the city. We tried to get wifi in Starbucks, but demand exceeded supply so we've reverted to the Tourist Info Centre where the wifi is pretty quick and free!
If you want a loo on shore in Norway, it's payable everywhere - even in dept stores and costs 10 kronor. There are 8.7 to the pound!
